KUU WRLD is a music and culture label working between Japan and the west. Our journey began in August 2017 with the formation of the Tsunami Sounds production collective. Over the past nine years there, we have directed projects with artists across more than 50 countries, resulting in over 500 digital releases, including projects in print, vinyl, CD, and apparel.

We launched KUU WRLD in early 2026 to focus deeper on cultural initiatives in and around Japan, producing multimedia projects that document artists, artisans, and the places they work.
