KUU WRLD is a Japan-West cultural production house working across music, fieldwork, and editorial. Our journey began in August 2017 with the formation of the Tsunami Sounds production collective. Over the past nine years there, we have directed projects with artists across more than 50 countries, resulting in over 500 digital releases, including projects in print, vinyl, CD, and apparel.

We launched KUU WRLD in early 2026 to focus deeper on cultural initiatives in and around Japan, producing multimedia projects that document artists, artisans, and the places they work.

KUU WRLD は、音楽、フィールドワーク、編集の領域で活動する、日本と西海岸をつなぐカルチャー・プロダクション・ハウスです。私たちの歩みは、2017年8月、プロダクション集団「Tsunami Sounds」の結成から始まりました。以来9年間、50カ国以上のアーティストと共にプロジェクトを手がけ、500以上のデジタルリリース、そして紙媒体、レコード、CD、アパレルなど、多岐にわたる作品を世に送り出してきました。

2026年初頭、私たちは日本とその周辺における文化的な取り組みにより深く向き合うべく、KUU WRLDを立ち上げました。アーティスト、職人、そして彼らが根ざす場所を記録するマルチメディア・プロジェクトを制作しています。
