KUU WRLD is a music and culture label operating between California and Tokyo, supported by a global network of creatives, distributors, venues, press, and label partners built over seven years in the industry. Founded by Damon Broussard.

​

Our studio is based in San Leandro, California. Through the KUU WRLD label and our in-house production collective Tsunami Sounds, we set up collaborations between local and international artists, with a special focus in Japan, to move music forward and create tangible cultural exports.

​

KUU WRLD also runs the Japan-California Music Program (JCMP), an ongoing initiative that connects Japanese artists with artists in California, and abroad. We will document this initiative into an annual magazine that explores how creative scenes are shaped by their environments. KUU Magazine coming Q4, 2026.

KUU WRLD is the public face of KUU Company LLC, an independent company building creative ties between Japan and the West.
