JCP is the next step in a journey we’ve been building for six years, now made possible through our new studio in San Leandro, California. Through our work with Japanese and western artists, labels, distributors, venues, and press, we’ve developed a strong cross-border network that directly connects Northern California with Japan’s creative ecosystem.
The program has two core goals.
First, to build a new music hotspot in Northern California centered around the Japanese diaspora and the rising influence of Japanese music worldwide. As Japan’s music industry continues expanding westward, we want to position the Bay Area as a legitimate hub for collaboration, export, and discovery.
Second, to create tangible cultural exchanges and turn them into real outputs — records, sync placements, creative campaigns, and cross-border projects that move between both markets. This positions JCP and KUU WRLD as a cultural partner for embassies, institutions, and brands that care about meaningful international work.
JCP lives at KUU WRLD STUDIOS. It’s where Japanese creators can develop work abroad, where California creators can access the Japanese industry, and where both sides can build something meaningful together.
